Heaven forbid! Chalila V'Chas.

1. I was quoting from a Hebrew early print. I even included the URL, so you
can see the yourself.

2. I never claimed he converted. I wrote that his Wikipedia biography was
full of references to X-tians.

Didn't come across any Pauls in my research, nor any Latin. Nor any Arabic,
not sure why that was included.

You strongly implied it by attributing Fagius's reference to "Meshihenu
vego'alenu" to him, and suggesting this is why he characterized the Teku
notarikon as Hevel

Did you look at the title page of the book you linked to yourself?

[Avodah] Meaning of a particular trope

A congregant of mine has asked me why the word "Vayishma" at the beginning
of Parshas Yisro has the gershayim trope.

It seems a rare situation and I have not found any of the usual peirushim
dealing with this.

Looking for a sefer or peirush which might provide guidance on this subject
and would be grateful for suggestions.

Not only different authors -- different schools of thought
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tosafot#Schools_of_Tosafists>
spanning over 2 centuries. There is little reason to expect any patterns
or consistency without at least knowing which school.

IOW, I think your parenthetic is enough to make the question a non-starer.

[Avodah] permanent mutav sheyihiyu shogegin

How should we feel about seemingly permanent mutav sheyihiyu shogegin (e.g.
allowing rhythmic table drumming on shabbat according to some authorities.)
Thoughts?

[Avodah] tests?

Rabbi X touched on something that I have thought about a lot over the years
which is, is it possible that someone is given a test that the best result
they can achieve is one of imperfection (that the absolute best they can
achieve is to be a lesser sinner.) For example, if current research is that
some people have no choice but to have same sex desires. I would really
love to hear more from him or any source of authority as to how to think
about that question.

Thoughts?
