This is a specialized index to discussions found on the Avodah mailing list index.

I tried to keep the index in chronological, rather than alphabetical, order. I often only slightly changed the subject headings as recorded by the posters for purposes of indexable arrangement. As there were many duplicate headings (based on varying transliterations and spellings), I attempted to reduce the duplication by deleting headings (but not the postings!) that were covered elsewhere. However, I did not impose systematically an editorial policy of transliteration uniformity between different headings. Also, I often did not actually (re)read the posts themselves so please forgive, and bring to my attention, cases where posts are misplaced or irrelevant vis a vis the primary heading. Furthermore, please bring to my attention posts that were unintentionally left out but belong here.
